TasTalk, held in partnership with Australian Tourism Export Council (ATEC), is a biennial event held in Tasmania that includes a trade conference and state-wide famil program.

The event combines Tourism Tasmania’s previous trade events; it's Tassie Specialist Conference for those selling domestic travel and that have completed our online specialist program, and Tasbound, held in partnership with ATEC and attended by ATEC member buyers.

TasTalk provides an opportunity for Tassie Specialists and ATEC member buyers to gain further knowledge of Tasmania in order to better sell the destination. Tourism Tasmania has designed the event to introduce attendees to a range of Tasmanian product and experiences through a series of appointments with the Tasmanian tourism industry.

The event includes a pre and post famil program to highlight Tasmania's experiences and regions. The event also provides the local Tasmanian tourism industry and attendees the opportunity to develop new relationships and strengthen existing ones.

Tourism Tasmania held its inaugural TasTalk in 2018. The program included two full-day trade workshops with Tourism Tasmania and ATEC hosting ATEC member buyers on the first day and Tourism Tasmania hosting Tassie Specialists on the second day.

This enabled the Tasmanian tourism industry to meet with both groups over two consecutive days. Both groups came together for a welcome function and gala dinner and were given the opportunity to participate in a pre or post famil.

Tourism Tasmania will hold its next TasTalk in 2020. The event will be held on alternate years to the  Talkabout Tasmania Roadshow.
